On paper, it’s a fantastic idea – emulate the functionality of 3rd party programs like Audiobus and Jack, but make it Garageband native, improving. Honestly, recording via garage band is so amateurish it’s almost a joke. GarageBand and irig is a total waste of anyone’s time. Yes, It’s completely possible to record professional quality audio on your ipad but the first thing to do is forget about garage band all together and get the right apps and hardware. The Amp Designer has 26 different Models, 26 Amps, and 26 Cabinets. Garageband’s Amp Designer is actually pretty solid considering Garageband is a free program. The Bass Amp Designer has 4 different models, 3 amps, and 8 cabinets. Pedalboard – The pedalboard comes with 36 different effects. It pretty much has everything you could need for playing guitar, including overdrive, wah, a whammy pedal.
